Sarahi and Mason’s Christmas Photoshoot

I was lucky enough to take pictures of my baby cousin Sarahi and her then boyfriend (now fiancee!) Mason last time I was down in Virginia. I don’t know about them, but I had a blast. I got to see them interact with their fur babies and got a little preview of how they will be as parents. Let me tell you guys…I have a feeling they will be great parents when the time comes. They are completely devoted to their babies Ellie and Teddy. Sarahi wore a hat with a yellow lab on it and Mason wore one with a black lab on it.  For those who know me, you know my husband and I are crazy about our dog but this couple for sure surpass our obsession for our baby Lola. And I love it!

I took this session a bit before Christmas and I would like to believe I gave them good luck because Mason proposed for New Years Eve!!! Woohooo! I am so very happy for them both. I can’t wait to see them grow as a couple and as a family, too!  As I sip on my coffee  and review this session, I toast to their happiness!

In her tiniest form, Miss Anaya has already filled her parents’ hearts beyond measure.

At some point, we have to stop turning away from what’s right in front of us. What’s happening in Gaza is not just a war—it’s a genocide. The scale of destruction, the relentless targeting of civilians, the lives of thousands of children cut short—it is unconscionable. No justification can make this right.

My heart aches for the innocent families being wiped out. For the parents digging their children out from beneath rubble. For the kids who have only ever known fear, grief, and survival.

And then, there’s the heartbreak happening here at home—like the couple outside the museum in D.C. senselessly attacked. It makes no sense. Violence, whether abroad or on our own streets, is not the answer. We cannot keep answering death with more death. We are losing sight of our shared humanity.

It’s time to speak up. Not just in mourning, but in resistance. Because this is a genocide—and silence is not neutrality. It’s complicity.

Just some cool kids doing some cool things.

Got to work with Katherine from @thekrafty_party_bykd and her creativity and cheerful energy made the whole process feel like a party. I guess that’s the magic of someone doing what they love. If you’re looking for unique, joy-filled party favors, look no further.
When David and I first got married, he brought Lola into our lives so I wouldn’t feel alone. We had just moved to Oregon. Thousands of miles from home, in a brandnew state, far from my family. Little did we know that this tiny, hamster looking dog would become so much more than just company.

Lola quickly became David’s loyal study buddy and best friend. She was there through it all…the growing pains, the milestones, the quiet moments, and the chaotic ones. She saw us evolve from broke students and newlyweds into having stable careers and becoming parents, always by our side.

She wasn’t just a beautiful dog; she was an extraordinary one. She never barked (didnt know how ungil Floki came along) walked calmly off leash, and was the easiest little traveler. She had a love for adventure… as long as she didn’t have to walk. She lived for bike rides, shopping trips, and kayaking and food. Specially chicken. She was truly the best girl, and her absence has left a space that no other could fill.

Until we meet again Lola.
Wrapped in heritage, crowned in love.
This sweet little soul wears more than just gold—she carries the weight of tradition, the softness of new beginnings, and the quiet power of legacy.
In Nepali culture, this forehead jewel symbolizes protection and blessing—a gentle wish for wisdom and a beautiful life ahead.
And when her mama saw her like this, she cried.
It’s only happened a handful of times in my studio, and those moments always stay with me.
What an honor to witness and capture the very start of her story.

When a mama says, “I trust you, Do your thing,” you know it’s about to be good. I’m usually picking apart every little detail, but this gallery? It has my whole heart. These are just a few highlights but truly, I could’ve shared them all. I’m already counting down the days until her cake smash session! Watching this beautiful family grow is such a joy.
